Cursor
Fast, capable, and genuinely useful for shipping, though cost and control still matter.
Visit Product SiteWho it is for
Cursor is for people who want to move fast in code and not break their flow jumping between tools. If you spend a lot of time in an editor, having AI right there just makes things smoother.
It works well both when starting something new and when working through an existing codebase.
What I like about it
My favorite thing is the approve changes feature. I can check the diffs and even test things before accepting anything, which makes it feel a lot safer to use. The autocomplete tab feature is also great and saves a lot of time. Auto mode is useful when I just want it to handle simple stuff or when I’m trying to save on usage.
Where it could improve
Orchestration and pricing could use some work. Sometimes the AI still touches things it shouldn’t, so you have to keep an eye on it instead of fully trusting it, even though the app does help you manage that. Pricing can also add up fast, especially if you’re not using auto mode. You can burn through a Pro plan in a day with certain models, while auto mode itself still isn’t reliable enough to fully rely on.
